In June 2026, John Burke of Armada and Gerry Quinn of Fiddle + Bow became the custodians of The Hydro Hotel, one of Lisdoonvarna’s most treasured landmark buildings. With a deep respect for its rich heritage, a carefully planned five-year restoration and renewal programme is now underway, preserving the character and history that have defined The Hydro since 1875 while thoughtfully reimagining it for a new generation of guests.

Working alongside the local community, businesses and producers, we are creating a welcoming destination that celebrates the very best of Lisdoonvarna and North Clare. Located in the heart of the village, and surrounded by the remarkable landscape of The Burren, The Hydro is perfectly placed for exploring Doolin, the Aran Islands, the Cliffs of Moher and the Wild Atlantic Way — while experiencing authentic Irish hospitality, local food, music and culture.
