In June 2026, John Burke of Armada and Gerry Quinn of Fiddle + Bow became the custodians of The Hydro Hotel, one of Lisdoonvarna’s most treasured landmark buildings.

With a deep respect for the hotel’s rich heritage, a carefully planned five-year restoration and renewal programme is now underway. Our vision is to preserve the character and history that have defined The Hydro since 1875, while thoughtfully reimagining it for a new generation of guests.

Working alongside the local community, businesses and producers, we are creating a welcoming destination that celebrates the very best of Lisdoonvarna, The Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, and North Clare. The Hydro is once again becoming a place where visitors can experience authentic Irish hospitality, discover the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way, and create lasting memories.
